DWELLINGUP → COLLIE
Brief overview
One of the finest sections of the entire Munda Biddi Trail — 146 km of smooth winding singletrack through Lane Poole Reserve and Nanga Mill beside the Murray River, Lake Brockman with its café and swimming, and flowing forest riding all the way to Collie.

Description of the Trail
Just south of Dwellingup, the trail runs through Lane Poole Reserve and Nanga Mill on smooth winding singletrack in beautiful forest beside the Murray River — some of the most pleasant riding of the whole Munda Biddi Trail. The area has numerous camping areas, swimming and canoeing spots, and mountain biking trails. You'll ride across the Murray River on a new suspension bridge shortly after entering Lane Poole Reserve — the swimming spot 100 metres to the east is especially good. A few kilometres north of Bidjar Ngoulin hut, you'll ride some of the most pleasant singletrack of the trail winding through Nanga Mill and Lane Poole Reserve. Around Bidjar Ngoulin hut, a good-quality railway trackbed through denser forest awaits — the 5 km before and after the hut is fun downhill riding. Further south, occasional wide gravel roads pass through the Alcoa mining area before doubletrack leads toward Lake Brockman. Lake Brockman is a dam supplying irrigation water with campsites, cabins and an excellent café — check opening hours if you'll depend on them for food. Swimming is allowed. South of Lake Brockman, pleasant singletrack through Jarrah and Marri forest leads to Yarri Hut. From Yarri Hut to Mornington Road, singletrack leads to quiet gravel roads through gorgeous tall forest. A new section of trail parallels Mornington Road before more gently undulating and flowing double track and singletrack carry you all the way to Collie.

Real Stories from travelers
“We rode the Munda Biddi end-to-end over 16 days on the hardtails with full camping gear. It was raw, challenging and absolutely incredible. Waking up in the forest every morning, riding through endless jarrah trees and feeling completely disconnected from everything — that’s what made it special. The bikes were perfectly set up for bikepacking and we felt fully self-sufficient the whole way.”
“I chose the hardtail expedition setup with camping gear and it was the best decision. Everything was dialled — bags, gear, bike. Long days, sometimes tough, but the freedom you get riding fully self-supported is unreal. If you’re looking for a real adventure, this is it.”
“We did a 7-day section with the electric bikes — honestly the perfect balance. You still get the full Munda Biddi experience, but without carrying gear. The e-bikes made longer distances super enjoyable and arriving at a proper bed each evening was a game changer.”
“I wasn’t sure I could handle multiple days in a row, but the e-bike setup made it completely doable. Great distances, amazing scenery, and no stress about logistics. Everything was planned and smooth from start to finish.”
“We started in Dwellingup and finished in Nannup with the bike delivery and pickup organised — super easy. Not having to worry about transport made a huge difference. We just focused on riding and enjoying the trail.”
“The shuttle option was perfect. We got dropped right at the trailhead and picked up at the end — no hassle, no planning stress. It made the whole experience feel seamless and way more enjoyable.”
