DENMARK → ALBANY
Brief overview
The final section of the Munda Biddi Trail — 84 km from Denmark to Albany finishing on the main street of one of WA's most celebrated coastal towns. Expect beautiful Wilson Inlet singletrack, rolling farmland, the Albany Wind Farm and a triumphant coastal finish.

Description of the Trail
Leaving Denmark, you start by following then crossing the Denmark River, before skirting the beautiful Wilson Inlet — most of this section is singletrack.
The trail then follows flat gravel farm roads and bush tracks, with about a kilometre along the South Coast Highway, to reach Youngs Siding and its General Store.
Southbound from Youngs Siding, the trail winds through farmland via major gravel roads, singletrack and a farm fence line through a valley between forested hills.
After crossing to the north side of Lower Denmark Road, the trail climbs a significant hill.
The climb and big fast downhill afterwards are on high-quality gravel roads.
West of the Elleker General Store, bush corridors close to the main road lead to a few short singletrack sections.
Beware of snakes for about 5 km west of the Elleker General Store.
Heading toward Albany, the trail skirts Lake Powell Nature Reserve then climbs into rugged bush-covered dunes along the Southern Ocean.
An excellent solid limestone path — built in late 2022 by DBCA — takes you through the hills to the Albany Wind Farm, where the Munda Biddi follows a gravel road past about fifteen huge wind turbines above the coast.
From the east end of the Wind Farm, the trail follows a paved road through bush then farmland to reach the coast south of Albany.
Follow the cycle path beside the water into town.
One final hill before finishing on Albany's main street — many places nearby to eat, drink and celebrate.

Real Stories from travelers
“We rode the Munda Biddi end-to-end over 16 days on the hardtails with full camping gear. It was raw, challenging and absolutely incredible. Waking up in the forest every morning, riding through endless jarrah trees and feeling completely disconnected from everything — that’s what made it special. The bikes were perfectly set up for bikepacking and we felt fully self-sufficient the whole way.”
“I chose the hardtail expedition setup with camping gear and it was the best decision. Everything was dialled — bags, gear, bike. Long days, sometimes tough, but the freedom you get riding fully self-supported is unreal. If you’re looking for a real adventure, this is it.”
“We did a 7-day section with the electric bikes — honestly the perfect balance. You still get the full Munda Biddi experience, but without carrying gear. The e-bikes made longer distances super enjoyable and arriving at a proper bed each evening was a game changer.”
“I wasn’t sure I could handle multiple days in a row, but the e-bike setup made it completely doable. Great distances, amazing scenery, and no stress about logistics. Everything was planned and smooth from start to finish.”
“We started in Dwellingup and finished in Nannup with the bike delivery and pickup organised — super easy. Not having to worry about transport made a huge difference. We just focused on riding and enjoying the trail.”
“The shuttle option was perfect. We got dropped right at the trailhead and picked up at the end — no hassle, no planning stress. It made the whole experience feel seamless and way more enjoyable.”
